Year One
This is about a bunch of people with modern language and sensibilities living in biblical times. Jack Black and Michael Cera converse as if the year is 2010.
The main characters are all contemporary (to use Ramis's word), but all of the other characters are more suited to the times.
Its kind of funny. I laughed out loud more than once. The actress that played MAYA did a great job. She didn't have a huge role, but made it count.
The documentary was pretty good, for the most part. It's a "making-of" documentary focusing a lot on each of the actors bestowing worship upon the other actors; pretty typical. The distracting thing about the documentary was the segments about the costume design. This is not a serious, epic, or significant movie. It's just mildly amusing. Focusing on the artistic details of the costumes and how they relate to the background palette means nothing.
